Jaime Vázquez pays attention to the moment when people stop listening.

It happens faster than most leaders think. A message drags. A slide loses the room. A story never quite lands. And just like that, the connection is gone.

That’s the problem Jaime solves.

As both a communicator and a musician, Jaime understands that how something is delivered matters as much as what’s being said. He helps organizations turn complex ideas into communication that people actually follow and remember. His work is grounded in a simple belief: if it doesn’t connect, it doesn’t work. Jaime brings a sharp instinct for voice, pacing, and structure, helping leaders shape messages that feel clear, human, and worth paying attention to.

He began his career as a writer and editor at Oprah.com, where he developed an empathy-driven approach to storytelling. Since then, he has worked with organizations including AbbVie and Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA), creating content and learning experiences that help people build skills, navigate change, and do their best work.

At Strategy Muse, Jaime has worked with a biotech company to shift its IT team from a help desk role into a core part of how the business moves forward—building capabilities, introducing AI, and helping accelerate research and discovery..

He is also the creator of Rock Star Rules, a Strategy Muse offering inspired by the performance techniques of pop stars. It helps leaders move beyond “sit and get” meetings and design experiences that engage people, build energy, and make the message stick.

Jaime approaches communication the way he approaches music—knowing the difference between something that fills the room and something people carry with them.
