Most leaders don’t struggle because they lack capability. They struggle in the moments where what’s expected of them changes.

From leading themselves to leading others.
From managing teams to setting direction.
From having the answer to asking better questions.

That’s where David Polmer does his work.

David helps leaders navigate those transitions by finding their voice and expanding how they show up. With a background in executive communications and coaching, he works at the intersection of self-awareness and storytelling—helping leaders understand not just what to say, but how to lead in a way others can follow. His work helps leaders move from intention to impact, especially in moments where clarity and credibility matter most.

Before joining Strategy Muse, David spent nearly 15 years advising organizations on communication strategy and leadership development. His clients have included Fortune 100 companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and Nike. Earlier in his career, he worked in executive communications at U.S. Cellular, where he supported CEO communications and built leadership forums to help align and engage the organization.

At Strategy Muse, David partners with leaders at pivotal moments. He has supported executive teams in aligning around strategy before stepping on stage at major leadership events and has helped reimagine onboarding experiences to build connection, community, and culture from day one.

He’s known for creating space for reflection and growth — helping leaders step into what’s next with clarity, confidence, and a voice that carries.

Outside of work, David coaches his oldest daughter’s soccer team — where the principles aren’t all that different: clear expectations, earned credibility, and creating space for the girls to grow into what they’re capable of.
