Laura Jacobs pays attention to what happens when change becomes real.
Not in the plan, but in the moments after…when people are trying to make sense of what’s happening, what it means for them, and whether they’re willing to move with it.
That’s where her work begins.
With a background in industrial psychology and communications, Laura helps leaders understand how change actually lands with people. She has a sharp instinct for what’s happening beneath the surface—why something isn’t resonating, where resistance is coming from, and what it takes to move forward. Her work helps leaders engage their teams in ways that build trust, create momentum, and make change something people can embrace.
Before joining Strategy Muse, Laura led change and employee experience for Deloitte’s Corporate Development team, supporting the integration of a wide portfolio of acquisitions. She worked closely with leaders and teams navigating uncertainty, helping them connect to what was changing and find their place in it. Earlier, she partnered with organizations including American Express, AstraZeneca, FedEx, and Pfizer on complex transformation efforts.
At Strategy Muse, Laura works with leaders to strengthen how they lead through change. She has helped a biotech organization build its change capability from the ground up, creating practical tools and experiences that leaders use with their teams every day.
She’s often the person leaders turn to when something isn’t landing and they can’t quite see why. She helps them see what’s really happening, and what it will take to move it forward.
Frequently found on the sidelines cheering on her three sons, Laura has mastered the art of remaining unfazed. From triple-header baseball weekends to global organizational transformation, she brings the focus needed to lead complex change with a calm, purposeful hand.
