Sonya Jackson has spent her career working on ideas that matter.
The kind that shape how organizations show up in the world.
The kind people remember long after the moment has passed.
She knows how to bring those ideas to life.
Sonya is a communications and social impact leader who has worked at the intersection of brand, reputation, and purpose for more than 25 years. She’s led at the highest levels of global organizations, including serving as President of the United Airlines Foundation and leading Corporate and Community Affairs for United Airlines. She also served as President of the BP Foundation and held senior leadership roles across corporate and philanthropic organizations, shaping how companies connect with the communities they serve.
Her work goes beyond messaging. She’s an accomplished writer, producer, and storyteller who uses media, technology, and live experiences to engage people in ways that feel real. From producing a feature film on Chicago’s first Black mayor to building large-scale experiences that bring people together, she approaches every project with the same question: What will move people to act?
At Strategy Muse, Sonya brings that same approach to clients navigating complex challenges—helping them shape ideas that carry weight, build trust, and move people to act.
Her work has been widely recognized, including being named to Savoy Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America and Top 100 Most Influential Women in Corporate America, along with numerous leadership and community impact awards.
She brings a point of view, a creative instinct, and a deep understanding of what it takes to make something matter—something that shows up not just in her work, but in her life, where cooking has long been one of her love languages and a way she brings people together.
