AI is moving fast. Most organizations aren’t. Not because the technology isn’t there, but because the way work happens hasn’t caught up.

That’s the gap Lisa Carmichael is focused on closing.

Lisa works at the intersection of organizational effectiveness and emerging technology, helping leaders figure out what it really takes to bring AI into the flow of work. Her focus isn’t on the tools themselves. It’s on how decisions get made, how teams operate, and what needs to change for AI to make a meaningful difference.

Before joining Strategy Muse, Lisa spent more than 25 years leading large-scale transformation efforts, including 16 years at Deloitte. There, she led adoption programs for enterprise platforms like SAP and Workday and helped shape how organizations approached change, communication, and technology at scale.

Today, she brings that same lens to AI. At Strategy Muse, Lisa has worked with clients to rethink how work gets done, redesigning processes to integrate AI in ways that improve speed, consistency, and decision-making. She also builds hands-on learning experiences that help leaders and teams move beyond theory and start applying AI to real business challenges.

She is the founder of the AI + Org Effectiveness Community, bringing together 70 practitioners across industries to explore what’s working, what’s not, and what comes next.

She’s known for cutting through the noise around AI and helping organizations put it to work—changing how teams operate, make decisions, and move work forward.

Outside of work Lisa loves to garden, and has learned that what grows, and what doesn't, comes down to how she designs, prepares, and tends to what she's planted - insights that inform her approach to org transformation.
